Innovative Fuel Systems Awarded $1.2M of Funding from Emissions Reduction Alberta
Edmonton, Alberta, July 20, 2020 – Innovative Fuel Systems Ltd. (“IFS”), an Edmonton-based, privately-owned technology company that provides innovative solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and fuel savings for heavy-duty trucks, is pleased to announce it has been awarded $1.2M in funding from Emissions Reduction Alberta (“ERA”) in order to facilitate the commercialization testing for their patent-pending, proprietary technology.
IFS has developed an innovative technology that allows heavy duty truck engines to displace an impactful amount diesel fuel with cleaner burning and cheaper natural gas. After completing several years of research and development and comprehensive testing, IFS will partner with Westcan Bulk Transport (“Westcan”) to commercially validate IFS’ technology. ERA funding and support will play a key role in both greenhouse gas emissions reduction and fuel savings validation resulting from IFS’ technology.
